The vertical village by Graft Lab is a multiple use development for Dubai. This is the one of many great architecture in Dubai. It is designed to provide space for residential, hotel and entertainment facilities, while harnessing the solar energy to the maximum.
This is a modern architecture building because the complex is organized to reduce solar production which is the most powerful renewable source of the energy in the desert. This is also massed as self-shading slabs at the north of the site on the east west axis to reduce long angle sun penetration. That is why this building often called by the Eco friendly architecture building in Dubai. [via]
